Czech and Slovak Film Festival (14-23 September 2016)

The theme of the 4th Czech and Slovak Film Festival of Australia is “Text and Texture”, inspired by Melbourne (2008) and Prague (2014) shared status as “UNESCO Cities of Literature”. The 2016 program will include a showcase of the best film adaptations of Czech and Slovak literature, from fairy tales to graphic novels. The festival will be accompanied by exhibitions, as well as literary responses to the programme from Melbourne and Prague-based writers.
