The unexpected star of The Voice of Italy

August 06, 2014

Text: talent shows are big time again on television with billions of viewers. They seem to be 24/7 – in a different language at any point in time around the globe. The Voice, big in Australia, is a global franchise. Suor Cristina is a real life nun and her audition singing ‘Noone’ by Alicia Keys quickly went viral on the web – with tens of millions of views in a couple of days. She may sing in English but she is Italian-speaking through and through, as are the judges. To see her in action and the judges’ reaction during and after the song, as well as some useful background, just click here.
