Vietnam is one of Asia's fastest growing economies, and Vietnamese is really essential to getting around. Vietnamese is a tonal language - written with the same Latin script we use in English - which is a major advantage for learners in Australia. Vietnamese is taught in a number of schools in Victoria - including in bilingual program format. You can also learn Vietnamese in distance or after hour mode through the Victorian School of Languages . And there are a number of Community Language Schools that teach Vietnamese on Saturdays.

Adults can learn Vietnamese university level through  Victoria University. They are also able to take short courses in Vietnamese offered by the CAE .
