Hindi is distantly related to English. It is also the third-most-widely spoken language in the world,with hundreds of millions of speakers in India, and in Pakistan (where it is known as Urdu and written in Arabic script) also known as Urdu. There are Hindi speakers all around the world. Children can learn Hindi in the school system through the Victorian School of Languages , or after hours through Community Language Schools . Adults can learn Hindi at La Trobe University or through short courses offered by the CAE .
