Frozen's Let it go is irresistible in 25 languages.

January 02, 2015

The Disney movie Frozen has broken box-office records around the world, and the associated smash hit ‘Let it go’ sung by Queen Elsa has hypnotized children and alike. Both film and song have been translated into a vast range of languages and dialects.  In January 2014 Disney released a special clip of Queen Elsa singing ‘Let it go’ in 25 languages. Of course it went totally viral with more than 29,000,000 views in less than 6 months. It is a wonderful introduction to a vast array of languages—25 languages in this one clip!—and how well they work together in the same musical sequence. Like all things Disney, the detail is astonishing.
