With native fluency in Mandarin, I am always proud of my bilingual skills. During the past six years at Perth, where I started and graduated from a Bachelor degree in Engineering at Curtin University, I have been pleased to be the witness to see an increasing number of people sparked their interest in China and learning Mandarin, regardless of their backgrounds and age. History, culture and customs regarding China have been appealing to me since I was a student at primary school, and there is enormous sense of satisfaction for me when I share my knowledge and personal experiences towards those topics or teach how to speak Mandarin with my friends or even strangers coming from diversified countries. Interestingly, I have discovered that mentoring young people and influencing them positively could have me feel quite cheerful and energetic. I love Chinese calligraphy and Chinese composition, and luckily I have further developed my interests into a professional level, i.e., being a NAATI accredited professional translator (English->Chinese). A more prosperous Australia-China bilateral cooperation is right under way, and it is not only solely for economic and political purpose to know more/learn about Mandarin, but meanwhile, to enhance the degree of cultural diversity in Australia. I will devote myself into promotion of Mandarin among local communities now and in the future.

Upon my return I was appointed host of the Late News program Nightline. In addition to that role, I presented a weekly news segment on the Network's flagship current affairs program Sunday, alongside host Jana Wendt.

Maintaining language culture is very important not just to me but to all the diversity communities as well as the wider community of Australia, English is my second language, I understand the importance of it, not just in our everyday life but also in connecting with the world politicly, economically and other aspects, but to most of us this wouldn't slow us in maintaining our main language, the world of today is about creating and sharing we should all be proud of who we are and share our cultural across the world, but it all start with your own identity of where you come from, I believe maintaining language is important to achieve all the desire of making this world a better place.
